Operation of AGR Software

Typically, for 500-gram packages, the lower and upper weight limits are set at 500 grams and 550 grams respectively. If multiple packages are produced at 549 grams, they fall within the acceptable range, but 49 grams are consistently being given away.

To reduce this, the AGR software automatically lowers the upper limit — for example, to 540 grams. If several packages then approach this new limit, it is lowered again to 530 grams.

As a result, the tolerance becomes increasingly narrow, making it harder for the operator to get packages approved. This reduces the number of punnets that can be processed per minute. If the capacity drops too low, the checkweigher signals that the tolerance should be widened again to increase throughput.

In this way, the RAMTEQ AGR software continuously and automatically switches between speed and precision — aiming to achieve maximum capacity with minimal giveaway.
